P&S
Online Swiss Watch Shop*The criteria for selection as a
Omega
Museum Collection piece are relatively simple: the watch must be at least
50 years old and have a certain degree of historical significance. Once selected,
the design of the original watch is reproduced faithfully, whilst its specifications
are wherever possible brought into line with the latest technical standards.
These watches are then presented each year as special editions whose production
is strictly limited, since the numbers produced correspond with the year of
the original. Watch connoisseurs and collectors can look forward to a new
OMEGA
Museum Collection model every year, bringing to light surprising new aspects
of OMEGA's history.
All
Constellation models have the Observatory emblem stamped on their case back
as a reminder of this collection' s impressive precision pedigree, which includes
the all-categories record of 97.8 points out of 100, set at a precision competition
at the Teddington observatory in the UK in 1936 and never since beaten in the
history of that observatory's competitions.
