OMEGA DE VILLE CO-AXIAL
In brief, the Omega Co-Axial Escapement eliminates practically all friction
between the pallets wheel and pallets, which had long been a ource of lubrication
problems in echanical watches. The result is a longer lifetime for the movement

Omega De
Ville
The revolutionary Co-Axial Escapement has now firmly established itself with
in the prestige watchmakers collection. The co-axial escapement was invented
by master British watchmaker George Daniels, who worked together with Omega
over a period of five years to develop it for large scale industrial production.
It was one of the twentieth century's major revolutions in watch making -
a complete departure from the traditional escapement design.

Omga Museum
Collection
The criteria for selection as a Museum Collection piece are relatively simple:
the watch must be at least 50 years old and have a certain degree of historical
significance. Once selected, the design of the original watch is reproduced
faithfully, whilst its specifications are wherever possible brought into line
with the latest technical standards. These watches are then presented each
year as special editions whose production is strictly limited, since the numbers
produced correspond with the year of the original. Watch connoisseurs and
collectors can look forward to a new OMEGA Museum Collection model every year,
bringing to light surprising new aspects of OMEGA's
history.
